Our History

The All India Train Controllers Association (AITCA) was established as the representative body of Train Controllers of Indian Railways, advocating for their rights, welfare, and professional interests. The organization emerged in response to the increasing complexity of railway operations and the critical role played by Train Controllers in ensuring safety, efficiency, and punctuality in train movements. AITCA was formed to provide a unified platform for Train Controllers across different railway zones of India. It aimed to address issues related to working conditions, pay structure, and career progression, ensuring due recognition for their vital role in railway operations. The association played a key role in negotiating with railway authorities to enhance the service conditions of Train Controllers. Over the years, AITCA has been instrumental in securing better work policies, upgraded facilities, and improved career progression for Train controllers. It has engaged with railway management and government authorities to highlight the stressful nature of train control duties, advocating for appropriate service benefits. The association has also been active in policy discussions, safety improvements, and operational enhancements within Indian Railways.

Our Achievements

  • AITCA continues to work towards technological advancements, workload management, and better compensation structures for its members. It strives to ensure optimum workforce allocation, reduced stress levels, and the recognition of Train Controllers as a specialized cadre within Indian Railways. The organization remains committed to modernizing railway control operations, keeping pace with India's growing transportation demands

  • It was the representation of the AITCA with VII CPC, which explained the strenous work nature of the job and achieved the allowance of 5000 rupees per month at the time.

  • With the efforts and pursuance of AITCA, a high power committee is examining the issues of cadre on fast track considering RDSO study report.
